Drug use and dealing- Reports of drug use and dealing have been noted across the Loughborough South beat, and intelligence gathering has been actively ongoing in response. This work has already resulted in a court‑issued drugs warrant, leading to the arrest of a suspect and a subsequent charge for the production of cannabis. The individual was remanded into HMP custody pending the final charge decision. Regular patrols continue within key hotspot areas, supported by ongoing intelligence development to identify further offenders and disrupt drug‑related activity. ASB- ASB has been raised as a concern in the area, The ASB at Mcdonalds has reduced following the issuing of ASB warning letters and proactive patrols at key locations. Work remains ongoing in relation to groups of cars gathering on the Tesco Park Road car park, which has been causing ASB and disturbance to local residents. In response to information provided by the community, the mobile CCTV camera has been re‑instated at the location to support monitoring and evidence gathering. A meeting involving the Shelthorpe Residents Association, Charnwood Borough Council, and the store is planned in the near future to discuss continued joint action and long‑term solutions. |
